Important message for all Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioners!
Posted almost 6 years ago by Liberty GAPNA State Chapter
Dear Pennsylvania NPs,
Our state organization, PCNP, can use our help! This is a critical time where our state has never been so close to full practice authority as right now! But there is resistance as you may know, and we need your help to call your legislator to do the following:
It is time to rally the troops and contact your legislator regarding full practice authority! Contact your State Representative and urge them to vote YES on Senate Bill 25. We need every State Representative to know how important this legislation is for patients, especially reps on the Professional Licensure Committee. Check to see if your Representative is a committee member and view their district and contact information here. There are two easy ways to contact your Representative. Please take time in the coming days to use one, or both, of these easy resources.
- Use the TOLL-FREE number: The more calls we make, the bigger impact we have on getting the legislation passed. Take time today to make this call a priority. Simply dial 844-250-5541 and punch in your zip code to be automatically connected to your state representative.
Suggested call script:
"I'm calling because I want Rep. X to ask House Leadership to bring SB25 to the floor for a vote. It's time for Pennsylvania to join the 22 other states that have already improved access to quality healthcare by empowering nurse practitioners to serve patients to their fullest potential. A broad range of groups supports this proposal to expand access to care in Pennsylvania." - Use our easy tool in VoterVoice: It's simple - just type in your information and it will automatically send an email either asking your Representative to co-sponsor the bill, or thanking them for their support if they are already committed to co-sponsor it.
Have you contacted your State Representative and received a response? Send their response to the PCNP office so we can help formulate a response to your legislator!
Thank you for your action! Ann ~ President, Liberty Chapter of GAPNA
