Dear Liberty GAPNA members and friends,
The Winter was busy for all, and Spring brings new opportunities for our chapter. We had a successful education dinner on February 29th in Willow Grove, PA and learned about GeneSight. Myself and a few members of our chapter also attended the Delaware Valley GAPNA Updates in Geriatrics conference this weekend for CEU credits and networking.
A few chapter announcements:
- Our next dinner chapter meeting is Monday April 24thin downtown Philadelphia. Save the date! An email invitation to follow.
- Liberty GAPNA is also hosting a satellite meeting in Reading, PA on Monday May 1, 2017 at 6:30pm. See attached invite. Feel free to share this with industry friends and colleagues; we welcome students as well. Please RSVP by April 14th.
- The nomination processfor 2016-2017 Board positions will begin shortly. Consider yourself for President, President-Elect, or Director At Large. This is an excellent way to gain leadership experience and advance our profession.
- Liberty GAPNA is participating in a Spring Membership Madness campaign! If you are not yet a GAPNA member, I encourage you to join GAPNA before April 15 to help support our “team” against other regions. Click here to sign up.
- Representative Jesse Topper recently introduced House Bill 100, which will grant Nurse Practitioners the full authority to practice in the state of Pennsylvania. Please contact your local representative and ask them the support HB100. You can find your local representative here.
- The GAPNA Annual conference is October 5-7at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. It’s a great opportunity to learn, network, and earn credits towards license renewal.
Looking forward to seeing you at our chapter events.
Best,
Sarah
