Industry news
The profession of Nursing continues to grow. Nurse Practitioner programs are experiencing a significant increase in student attendees. There is a growing demand for preceptors to mentor these eager students. Please consider registering as a preceptor with ANCC. A hundred and twenty (120) hours of your time spent supervising and precepting a student may be used towards ANCC re-certification.

GAPNA also maintains its own Preceptor Registry and you are encouraged to register yourself. By registering yourself as a GAPNA member, you will have access to the Gerontology Resources for Advanced Practice Nurses toolkit that contains resources for APRN Preceptors and Students. The toolkit is available on GAPNA's website under Resources.

Respectfully,
Sarah
