Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care

A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a promising opportunity with their Urgent Care team in Queens.

About the Opportunity:

• Specialty: Urgent Care
• Patient Population: All ages (mainly adults)
• Hours: 3 12-hour shifts per week
• Call Schedule: Weekend rotations

Responsibilities:

The Urgent Care NP will:

• Perform assessment and interventions for each patient
• Participate in interdisciplinary committees that influence or determine policies
• Follow facility procedures/protocols for admitting residents transferring to hospitals / clinics / outpatient visits
• Complete appropriate documentation based on the established guidelines
• Assist in defining, maintaining, and interpreting standards of practice
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in an Urgent Care role/setting
• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree
• NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
