Nurse Practitioner - ICU (Per Diem) New

A recognized healthcare network in New Jersey is actively seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner, with an Acute Care certification, to join its ICU team at one of their facilities in Bergen County.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Part-Time / Per Diem
• Shift: Days or Nights
• Hours: 7AM to 7PM or 7PM to 7AM
• Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Patient Population: Adults

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of critically ill geriatric patients in the ICU
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures pertinent to acute care
• Manage complex medical conditions and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health maintenance
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New Jersey
• Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or acute care setting, preferably with a geriatric focus
• Strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to work independently during night shifts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare team members
