Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery

**Job Details:**
• Locum tenens position covering for the loss of 3 PAs in Cardiothoracic Surgery • Rotation includes weekday, weekend, and night call coverage (varied shifts) • Perform endoscopic retrieval of vascular tissues for use as bypass conduits • Insert chest tubes and assist with various cardiothoracic procedures • First assist in OR for cardiac surgery cases (approximately 2 surgeries per day) • Complete daily rounding on 5-12 patients in ICU and floor settings • Coordinate patient care across different hospital departments • Diagnose and treat illnesses within scope of practice • Order and interpret diagnostic tests • Write prescriptions and manage post-operative care • Remove sutures and provide follow-up care • Document patient care using Cerner EMR system • Must have NCCPA Certification, active New Jersey license • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience including proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) • Must hold current BLS and ACLS certifications • Start date: ASAP through October

**Compensation:**
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
